• By 12/10 (Saturday), complete your FCSTC project and be sure to complete the Project Submission and Copyright Verification form. This form is required at the interview on the day of the competition. For competition category details and rubrics, go to https://www.gastc.org/category-information.
• By 12/7 (Wednesday) 5PM, interview time will be emailed to all school liaisons. 
• A student may only register for one project in the FCSTC (same rule as GASTC). Only ONE entry (one individual OR one team of two) is allowed per category by division (same rule as GASTC). 
• Programming Challenge (all virtual) registration directly with GASTC will open from 11/16 to 12/16. As soon as GASTC releases registration information, FCSTC will share with local school liaisons. A student who is participating in Programming Challenge can also register another project with FCSTC (same rule as GASTC).

2022-2023 GaSTC Programming Challenge Updates:

• This challenge is only for grades 7^th -12^th. There are 3 divisions: Level III (7th/8th grade); Level IV (9th/10th grade); Level V (11th/12th grade)
• Problems are the same for each level.
• The virtual TPC competition is run through the ACTE competition portal and is not run through Fulton County Schools. The 2022 Fall Virtual TPC Challenge is on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 on the ACTE competition platform. Joining the common Webex meeting at the beginning of the competition is mandatory.
• The competition is about 3 hours long. Teams can have 1-3 persons. Each school can have multiple teams for the same division. Only one registration per team is needed. Contact your school liaison if you are interested to participate.
• Only C99, C++11, Java, and Python3 programming languages are supported at this competition.
• GASTC TPC event problems are automatically graded and submission results are reported as quickly as they are processed.

Dates to Remember:

• December 16th is the last day of registration for the regional event
• January 21st at 10 am is the Regional Event that all regions will be participating in
• March 4th at 10 am is the State Event
• May 13th at 11 am is the Alabama vs. Georgia Event. This is very exciting for our competition to expand beyond our state!

• The 2022-2023 Fulton County Student Technology Competition (FCSTC) will be held in person on 12/10 (Saturday) at Riverwood High School from 8AM to 4PM. The FCSTC registration is now closed. Participants with registered projects will receive their interview time for 12/10 no later than 5PM on 12/7 (Wednesday).
• All 3rd -12th grade Fulton County students are eligible to enter a student-created technology project that aligns with one of these CATEGORIES. Projects are to be designed and created by students. This cannot be a whole class assigned project. 
• Registration can only be completed with your local school competition liaison.
• A student (either as an individual or as a team up to 2 members) can only register for ONE competition category.
• Only ONE project entry is allowed for each competition category by division.
• Projects may be submitted by an individual or up to two members. Individuals and teams of two compete against each other. Your local school competition liaison is the only person who can complete the registration with FCSTC.
• Read the category descriptions before you select your project category. No changes can be made when a student registration is submitted. Student projects will be judged based on the category for which they registered. Changes in category WILL NOT be made for any reason after submission. Projects will be judged by the category under which the project was submitted.
• Some adult guidance is allowed, but it must be clear that the work was done by the student(s).
• Judges will expect students to demonstrate that the work is their own during the 15-minute in-person interview on-site. Please go to the Competition Q&A page for more details.
