WELCOME TO CLIFTONDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTA
We would like to extend an invitation for you to join the Cliftondale Parent Teacher Association (PTA). PTA is the oldest and largest organization protecting the rights of children. As education is essential to a child's development, PTA works with the school to provide quality education for all children. Your membership dues provide many services to the children in our school including, but not limited to, cultural art programs, performances, family events, and trips.
Our PTA meetings are held every month, so please come and join us. Attending a PTA meeting is a terrific way to get to know your CES family, learn about upcoming events, and share your thoughts and ideas.

WHAT DO PTA ORGANIZATIONS DO?
PTA organizations support and speak on behalf of children in the schools, in the community, and before government groups and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. They help parents develop the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and they encourage parent and public involvement in public schools across the country.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING PTA?

- Access to teachers and administrators at your child's school
- Access to parents of other children at the school
- A forum to discuss concerns and problems at school.
- If a problem needs attention from the state or national government, any local, district, or state PTA can bring the issue to the attention of the National PTA.

- Appreciation from teachers for all your help
- Education about school policies, state funding, and other issues concerning your school
HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED IN CLIFTONDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTA
Attend a Cliftondale Elementary School PTA meeting to learn about activities that are currently being planned. Voice your opinion on a variety of topics. Vote on current issues. Elect board members for the upcoming voting year. Join a committee

AS A MEMBER OF THE CLIFTONDALE SCHOOL PTA
You can make a difference for your child and all children, just by joining our PTA and showing your support, participating in family-oriented activities and projects, supporting school activities whether at school, at home or at your workplace, strengthening the family-school-community partnership, learning about important issues that affect children in your community, obtaining brochures and other materials such as videos, on a wide variety of concerns to today's parents and families, and being a voice for your children by communicating with local and state decision makers.
